SUMMARY: National Capital Treatment & Recovery, formerly Phoenix House, a nonprofit substance use treatment facility in Arlington, VA is hiring a full-time Chief Growth Officer to join our Executive Team. This position is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive growth strategy for the organization. This position is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing revenue generation and marketing strategies that align with the organization’s mission and values. The Chief Growth Officer is a strategic leader who works closely with the CEO and other members of the executive team to identify and pursue new growth opportunities. The Chief Growth Officer will work across teams and departments, fostering internal alignment, and focusing heavily on external marketing dynamics and stakeholder needs. This individual must be committed to the mission of NCTR. This is a full-time, salaried, M-F 9am-5:30pm position. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Developing and implementing a comprehensive growth strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals, with a specific focus on marketing, fund development, strategic partnerships, and grants.

· Identifying and building strategic partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to support the organization’s growth objectives.

· Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and market expansion.

· Managing and motivating employees and other publics, such as alumni and concerned people, influencing growth initiatives.

· In collaboration with the CEO and CFO, developing and implementing effective pricing and market strategies to sustain and grow current contracts

· Monitoring and analyzing market trends and competitor activity.

· Developing and managing the budget for growth initiatives.

· Identifying and implementing technology and other tools to support growth efforts.

· Providing regular reports and updates on growth performance to the Board of Directors, CEO and other members of the executive team.

· Serving as a key member of the executive team and contributing to the overall direction and strategy of the organization.

· Development initiatives to meet evolving patient needs and stay ahead of competitors.

· Leading efforts to acquire new referral sources while ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and completion.

· Leveraging data-driven insights to optimize marketing, sales, and operational processes for enhanced growth and efficiency.

· Oversee and enhance fundraising campaigns, including major gifts, annual giving, and planned giving.

· Manage the identification and establishment of strategic partnerships with corporations to support financial goals.

· Collaborate in grant applications and management processes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.

· Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact events to engage donors and raise funds.

· In collaboration with the executive leadership team, participate in the development and expansion of clinical programs and services to ensure utilization of evidence-based practices and meet the needs of the community.

· Set standards and targets for performance in all areas of oversight; model accepted leadership behaviors and work as members of the Executive Team

· Oversee 3rd party contracts such as private health insurance Medicaid, etc.

· Address emerging issues that impact the future direction of NCTR

· Maintain ethical standards and continued professional growth, including

a. Abide by Program and NCTR policy and procedures. Oversees staff understanding and compliance.

b. Ensure all CARF standards are instituted and maintained

c. Promote, in public and private contacts, the quality standards and ethical practices of NCTR staff

d. Continuing professional growth by attending workshops, training and staff in-service training to increase skill and knowledge and to set appropriate example for staff

e. Maintain current licensure/certification including CES, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Management, as applicable

f. Maintain professional boundaries with employees and clients

g. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum education and experience needed to perform the job adequately.)

Any combination of education or experience equal to the following:

· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, marketing or economics

· Extensive experience in business development, marketing, sales and strategy

· Minimum of 5-7 years leadership position, with a focus in non-profit management

· Experience in substance use treatment a plus

· Expertise in working with a Board of Directors and executive management team

§ Excellent follow up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
