Overview:

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. is looking for a Part-Time, seasonal accounting associate to assist with daily accounting functions to include daily sales reconciliations, creating purchase orders, entering accounts payable invoices, filing and other duties as assigned based on need, knowledge, and ability. 

Position Type:

This is a part-time position that will work in-person at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown NY. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The salary range is $16.00 - $16.50, commensurate with education and experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Process purchase orders and vendor invoices demonstrating proper document support, review, and approvals
• Ensue proper account codes are used for expenses
• Maintain physical and digital vendor files

Revenue Reconciliations:

• Daily reconciliation of sales from museum activity 
• Prepare deposits for bank
• Create sales journal entry for general ledger

General Responsibilities:

• Apply internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Use ERP and AP/AR automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
• Communication skills for liaising with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
• Follow oral and written instruction, policies and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• AI experience with business office efficiencies preferred, not required
• Demonstrate basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge and business acumen
• Exhibit accurate and efficient data entry
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
