We are looking for candidates ready to begin their path in the role of Foreclosure Title Curative Specialist I. This role is the essential to the title process and a key to develop a base foundation for advancement. The candidate will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to exceeding expectations and customer satisfaction.
KEY JOB DUTIES
- Resolve Title Defects: Identify and resolve any issues or defects found in the title search process (e.g., missing documents, liens, judgments, or incorrect legal descriptions).
- Work with Attorneys: Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, and other legal professionals to clear up issues such as unpaid liens or unresolved disputes.
- Coordinate with Clients: Communicate with buyers, sellers, and agents to explain title issues and offer solutions.
- Prepare Legal Documents: Draft and file necessary legal documents to correct or resolve title issues, such as affidavits of correction, satisfaction of liens, or releases of judgments.
- Monitor Progress: Track the progress of curative actions to ensure that title issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Advise on Title Solutions: Provide guidance on how to proceed with real estate transactions when issues arise, advising on possible solutions and remedies.
- Prevent Future Issues: Work to prevent future title issues by ensuring proper documentation and resolutions are put in place.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain focus and concentration while meeting timelines.
- Data entry and data reconciliation accuracy, proficient technical skills to maintain quality and results.
- Attention to detail to perform accurate and quality work with document review and data validation.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and 10 key touch.
- Ambition to learn and drive to completed tasks.
- Ability to navigate efficiently within various applications and platforms.
- Ability to perform in a team environment to accomplish shared goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma with 3-5 years of verifiable work experience required (will consider bachelor’s degree in lieu of work experience)
- Work history preferred in legal, accounting, billing, loan servicing, or other professional practices
- Mortgage Banking experience is preferred
