About the Position:
As the Vice President, Vermont, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team and contribute to meaningful conservation efforts in Vermont and the surrounding region.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and drive implementation of plans for habitat conservation, climate action, policy, and community priorities in Vermont and across the region.
• Collaborate with peers on the Conservation team to provide input into strategies designed to achieve Audubon's strategic plan goals for conservation.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the Green Mountain Audubon Center, ensuring alignment with Audubon's community building priorities and strategies.
• Deliver strategic and operational excellence through the leadership, management, and mentoring of staff, ensuring the team is focused and supported in the delivery of Audubon's conservation priorities.
Requirements:
• 15 years' progressive, professional experience in organizational leadership, preferably connected to conservation or civic engagement.
• Experience in conservation, environmental policy and advocacy, and/or similar fields; knowledge of how conservation work is advanced in New England and key conservation leaders, priorities, and partners.
Key Qualities:
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve shared goals.
• Strong fundraising skills, with experience developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
