Reports to: Managing editor
Location: Wyoming preferred, but remote candidates with prior Equality State experience will be considered. Depending on location, this role could be office-based, home-office-based or a hybrid.

Responsibilities
- Copy edit WyoFile stories, columns, partner articles and republications
- Manage and execute all aspects of daily newsroom story production, publication, promotion and distribution including: ○ Laying out stories and newsletters while helping to develop additional newsletter products
- Coordinating multiple reporters and editors through simultaneous, multi-step production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks (i.e. keep the trains running on time)
- Help refine and continually improve WyoFile’s systems
- Assist with social media posts.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong command of AP Style and English grammar
- Exceptional organization, relentless attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple competing demands on deadline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A talent and affinity for consumer-centric design
- A positive attitude and assertive demeanor
- Curiosity and a drive to teach yourself new skills
- The ability to anticipate the needs of the newsroom
- Familiarity with graphic design, photography and data visualization is a plus.
