Air Export Specialist

Available shifts: Tuesday - Saturday 1st and 2nd shift, Sunday - Thursday 1st shift

Essential Functions:

• Creates shipments by determining the best value routing in order to provide the service level required.
• Act as authorized representative of National Air Cargo in negotiating with airlines, pickup agents, delivery agents, etc.
• Maintains up-to-the-minute status on all AOG shipments
• Determines that all shipments have been successfully delivered to their final point of destination
• Coordinates and communicates with the airline’s office to maximize service potential and reduce costs.
• Ensure best customer service and business practice at all times.
• Ensures all shipments are rated properly for billing purposes.
• Ensures integrity of data entered into the LOGIX system.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of Export, Import, and Domestic shipping procedures
• Working knowledge of Tenders and Service contracts and related requirements.
• Expertise with government regulations related to international shipping.
• Ability to work in an environment with time critical situations requiring sense of urgency and multi-tasking.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills .
• Able to negotiate effectively
• Strong management & leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills are required.
• Proven knowledge of shipment processing and problem resolution, able to achieve customer satisfaction, in difficult situations.
• Must be able to demonstrate an ongoing positive attitude that will be viewed as a professional role model for others

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in international air freight forwarding
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
