What You'll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, customers and prospective clients by delivering exceptional service and identifying sales opportunities
• Drive sales growth by developing new business while maintaining a strong pipeline of active customers, projects and bids
• Provide product knowledge and guidance to support customer purchasing decisions and recommend solutions that meet customer needs
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, in-store and on job sites to answer questions, process orders and provide project support
• Prepare accurate bids, estimates, take-offs and material lists based on customer and contractor requirements
• Share accurate pricing, inventory, product availability and delivery information to support sales and customer satisfaction
• Enter orders accurately and efficiently while coordinating with store and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment
• Support accounts receivable collections and order management activities as needed
• Partner with store teams to ensure excellent customer service, product availability and seamless order execution
• Maintain organized records of customer interactions, active projects and sales opportunities
• Reinforce safety standards and support overall store operations by assisting in other areas of the business as needed
• Take on additional responsibilities and special projects to support the success of the store and company

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or a related field preferred
• Previous sales experience, preferably within the building materials, lumber, construction or home improvement industry
• Knowledge of building materials, including special order doors, windows and hardware products, is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, perform take-offs and prepare accurate material estimates
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts, projects and priorities simultaneously
• Results-oriented with a strong sales mindset and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
• Team-oriented approach with a willingness to support store needs and collaborate across departments
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer and job sites as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
