Position Summary
The Part-Time STIHL Service Technician / Stocker-Loader supports store operations through STIHL equipment service and repair while also assisting customers with loading, stocking and general floor support. This role helps provide strong customer service and operational support throughout the store and yard.
This is a part-time position scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
What You’ll Contribute
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service related to STIHL products, parts, and equipment
• Perform service, maintenance, and basic repairs on STIHL equipment in accordance with vendor guidelines and company expectations
• Assist customers with troubleshooting product issues and explaining repair recommendations
• Help determine parts needed for repairs and communicate estimated repair timelines and warranty information
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service area, sales floor, and yard environment
• Participate in STIHL training and certification programs, including Bronze and Silver certification levels after hire
• Support sales floor operations by assisting customers with product questions and locating merchandise
• Assist with stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, labeling products, and organizing assigned areas
• Load and unload materials manually and/or with equipment such as forklifts when authorized
• Build loads for customer pickups and deliveries
• Assist customers with safely loading and securing lumber, equipment, and other merchandise
• Pull merchandise for customers as needed
• Help maintain accurate inventory placement and organization throughout the yard and store
• Help keep the yard and surrounding work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Follow all company safety procedures and vendor guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn STIHL equipment service and repair
• Previous experience in small engine repair, construction, hardware, lumber, or retail environments preferred but not required
• Ability to obtain and maintain STIHL Bronze and Silver certifications after hire
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues with training and support
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
• Physical ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing 25–50 lbs or more with assistance, as well as bend, twist, squat, reach, climb ladders, and remain standing or walking for extended periods throughout the shift
• Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
