Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counsel to join our team, dedicated to providing high-quality mental health support and counseling services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to helping clients navigate their mental health challenges. This role involves working closely with individuals dealing with chronic pain, PTSD, and other mental health issues in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive mental health counseling to clients, focusing on individual needs and treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment strategies for clients suffering from chronic pain and PTSD.
- Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices and emerging therapies within the field.
- Offer direct support through various therapeutic techniques, including art therapy, to enhance client engagement and healing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance counseling skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Valid licensure or certification in mental health counseling is preferred.
- Experience in outpatient mental health settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology principles and chronic pain counseling techniques is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of art therapy techniques is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective client interaction and documentation.
