What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse (RN) - ICU/CCU position at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home?
Job Purpose: The Staff Nurse (RN) is a professional care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients. The RN will provide care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and coordination with other health care team members, taking into account the individual patient's special physical or age-related needs. The RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other disciplines in maintaining standards for professional nursing and hospital practice in the clinical setting, taking into account the individual patient's special physical or age-related needs.
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Employee is trained and prepared to care for the age-specific group served on their assigned unit. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred on hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Possess current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 6 months.
Experience preferred on hire: One of more years' experience in acute care nursing. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Less than three (3) years of RN experience $7,500.00
Three (3) plus years of RN experience $10,000.00
Salary : $7,500 - $10,000
