Job Purpose: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional care provider who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients. The RN will provide care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and coordination with other health care team members, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs. Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other disciplines in maintaining standards for professional nursing and hospital practice in the clinical setting, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age-related needs.
Education : Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Preferred: Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current NYS license for Registered Professional Nurse. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first six (6) months of hire or transfer. ACLS obtained within the first year of employment. PEARS obtained within the first two (2) years of employment.
Experience: One (1) year or more experience in an acute care nursing. Six (6) months OR or PACU experience & AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Full-time Sign-On-Bonus $7,500.00
