What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Authorization Representative position at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home?
Job Purpose: The purpose of this job is to perform all aspects of patient intake from scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, obtaining authorization, pre-registration, pre-certification, medical necessity verification, collecting copayments and deductibles.
Education: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred : Possess an Associate’s degree from an accredited college.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None required
Experience: Possess two (2) years’ experience in Patient Scheduling or Patient Accounts.
Preferred: Knowledge of third-party payors.
Salary : $19 - $20
