Campus Experience Manager

Nathan Layne Institute of Cosmetology | Boise, ID
Full-Time

Help Run the Experience Behind a Busy Beauty School

Nathan Layne Institute is looking for a Campus Experience Manager who can keep people, schedules, clients, and daily campus operations moving.

This isn't a typical front desk position.

Our Boise campus operates like a real working salon and learning environment, with 17 Style Bars, 9-bowl Shampoo Edit, Barber Club, Esthetics rooms, 10-Station Nail Studio , and Pedi Lounge.

Every day brings students, educators, clients, appointments, retail, attendance, schedules, and plenty of moving pieces.

We're looking for the person who can help bring all of it together.

If you're organized, great with people, calm under pressure, and naturally notice what needs to be handled before someone has to ask — you may be exactly who we're looking for.

What You'll Do

  • Help oversee the daily student, client, and salon experience across campus
  • Welcome students, clients, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • Coordinate client appointments across Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, Nails, and Pedicures
  • Manage student clock-ins, clock-outs, tardies, and attendance tracking
  • Build relationships with students and recognize attendance or scheduling concerns early
  • Keep appointment schedules organized and service areas flowing
  • Support retail sales, checkout, and product transactions
  • Help resolve scheduling conflicts, client concerns, and everyday campus issues
  • Communicate closely with educators and campus leadership
  • Step in, take ownership, and help keep the campus organized when things get busy

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Friendly, professional, and naturally good with people
  • Comfortable holding people accountable while still being approachable
  • Calm and solutions-focused when plans change
  • A strong communicator
  • Comfortable learning scheduling, attendance, administrative, and point-of-sale systems
  • Proactive — you see what needs to happen and help make it happen
  • Energized by a fast-paced environment

Experience in hospitality, salon or spa operations, retail leadership, student services, customer experience, office management, or high-volume scheduling is preferred, but not required.

You'll know you're succeeding when:

  • Students know you and trust you as a resource
  • Clients feel welcomed and taken care of
  • Appointments and service areas stay organized
  • Attendance concerns are caught early
  • Educators have a dependable operational partner
  • Problems get solved instead of passed around
  • The campus feels organized — even on the busiest days

Our Core Values

Professionalism is nailing our work with style and respect by treating folks right and sticking to our word. We show integrity by doing what we say we will do—no room for office soap operas or Eeyores.

Always Learning is the sugar in our coffee, whether it's picking up new skills or sharpening them, both at work and at home. We grow as a team so we can win as a team.

Collaboration is teamwork on steroids. We share the workload and work through our differences to get us over the finish line. No office politics, entitlement, or scarcity thinking.

Strong Work Ethic means we dive in headfirst, with our eyes on the prize. We show up and make sure we deliver the goods. We're not about slacking off or being late to the game.

Lastly, we are People First. When we put people first, the rest falls into place. No matter how busy it gets or how high the stakes feel, we lead with heart. When people feel seen and valued, they show up and bring their best. People First teams are more resilient, innovative, and fun to be a part of. Around here, people aren't just part of the process — they are the point.

If you want a role where your organization, energy, judgment, and people skills can genuinely shape someone's experience every day, we'd like to meet you.

Come help us create the kind of campus experience people remember.
