Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Interior Finish Project Manager to oversee the execution of interior finishes on high-end residential projects. This individual will be responsible for coordinating trades, managing schedules, and ensuring the quality of interior millwork, cabinetry, finishes, and final detailing meets our exacting standards. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with a strong background in custom residential construction and a deep understanding of finish work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of interior finish phases on custom residential projects, from coordinating with MEP for rough-in through final punch list
- Coordinate and supervise flooring installers, finish carpenters, cabinetmakers, painters, tile setters, stone installers and other finish trades
- Work closely with the design team, architects, and clients to interpret plans, specifications, and selections
- Develop and maintain detailed interior finish work schedules, ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks in order to maintain the overall project completion schedule
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor craftsmanship, resolve issues, improve coordination and maintain NHB's strict quality standards
- Manage procurement and delivery of interior finish materials, fixtures, and custom components
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor to align interior finish work with the overall project schedule
- Communicate proactively with clients and design professionals regarding interior progress and any changes or issues
- Track and report progress, costs, and any required change orders
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in high-end residential construction, with a strong emphasis on interior finish work
- Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain tight coordination during complex finish phases
- Deep knowledge of interior building materials, custom cabinetry, millwork, and finish techniques
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read, interpret and notate architectural and interior design drawings and specifications including detailed shop drawings used for fabrication
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in project management tools and scheduling software
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to excellence
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
