Job Title: 21 st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Site Coordinator
Classification: Part-time {9-10 hours per/week}
Reports to: Program Director & Superintendent
(Designees-Assistant Superintendents)
Supervises: 21 st Century CCLS Teachers, Staff, and Students
Salary Range: 1. $50.00 per/hour X 300 total hours
a. Regular school year 25/26
b. Summer School
Primary Responsibility:
The 21 st Century CCLS Site Coordinator, under the supervision of the Superintendent of
Schools and the Program Director, manages all operations at one of the After School
Learning Centers.
Required Qualifications:
❖ Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
❖ Class 486 Administrator’s License with at least three (3) years of administrative
experience.
o Substitution:
- Class 486 Administrator’s License and five (5) years of classroom*
experience
- Class 486 Administrator’s License, three (3) years of classroom*
experience; and, in an Administrator Intern Program.

1. SB West Elementary School, 2. Natchez Middle School, 3. Natchez High School
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Develops and maintains an after-school schedule of academic, recreational,
and enrichment activities in collaboration with the school’s administrative
team. Assists in identifying participants and coordinating outreach for the
program. Provides regular updates to the Program Director, School
Administrator, and staff.
- Recruits and enrolls program participants to meet grant average daily*
attendance requirements.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises teachers, paraprofessionals, volunteers,*
parents, and community partners to implement academic, recreation, and
enrichment activities. Provides appropriate professional development
activities to support the program's success.
II. Ensures the safety and supervision of students at all times, maintaining a
10:1 adult-to-child ratio during instructional time and a 20:1 adult-to-child ratio
during enrichment activities.
- Ensures a safe, orderly environment that encourages students to take*
responsibility for their behavior.
- Assists and enforces school rules, Board policies, and administrative*
regulations.
III. Manages assigned facilities or classrooms; oversees the provision of
security, food services, custodial, and transportation services. Ensures that
classrooms and other shared school spaces are well-maintained.
IV. Manages and directs the day-to-day operation of the program. Travels among
sites to maintain high visibility at each program (if applicable).
a. Oversees the supervision of students in various activities and settings,
including the classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, field trips, bus loading
areas, etc.
b. Creates and maintains a positive learning environment by implementing
appropriate behavioral supports, interventions, and management
strategies.
c. Develops and maintains a high level of communication and positive
relationships with the school Principal, teachers, office staff, food services
staff, custodians, and after-school program staff.
V. Maintains regular contact with project directors at the district/school level.
Collaborates with project directors/ to schedule and coordinate ongoing
parent workshops, services, and special events.
a. Establishes and displays the highest standards for ethical and
professional behavior while working with students, parents, school
personnel, District staff, community members, and other parties.
b. Establishes and maintains partnerships with community-based
organizations, public agencies, local universities, city agencies, and other
collaborators.
c. Responds promptly and courteously to parent or student concerns and/or
complaints; immediately notifies the school’s administration and Program
Director of such concerns and/or complaints as appropriate.
d. Communicates with parents/guardians regarding student progress and
performance.
e. Meets at least monthly with the Program Director and school Advisory
Board (if applicable) to coordinate program design; discuss evaluation
processes and outreach efforts; and address any other program concerns.
Assists in the design of a sustainability plan for the after-school programs.
VI. Oversees budget development, expenditure tracking, and expenditure
approval for the program (when applicable).
a. Ensures accurate and prompt approval of staff timesheets and payment of
invoices.
b. Coordinates the program’s evaluation process via the Mississippi
Department of Education (MDE) Data Hub, including surveys of students,
staff, and parents.
c. Maintains required data; submits all required documentation in a timely
manner.
VII. Attends staff development activities, etc., to maintain and improve
professional competence.
- Participates in all meetings, workshops, and activities required by the*
Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) 21st Century Community
Learning Center Program.
- Maintains a valid MDE teaching certificate; provides for his/her own*
professional growth through an ongoing program of reading, seminars,
conferences, and/or advanced coursework.
VIII. Promptly reports incidents or concerns such as fights, suspected alcohol or
substance abuse, possession of weapons, student or other health/safety
concerns, etc., adhering to appropriate policies and procedures.
- Adheres to the highest standards of confidentiality concerning sensitive*
matters, students, and staff.
- Promptly reports suspected instances of child abuse and/or neglect as*
required by applicable Mississippi Department of Human Services
(MDHS) and LEA Superintendent.
IX. Serves as a role model for others; dresses professionally; demonstrates the
importance and relevance of learning; willingly accepts responsibility; and
demonstrates pride in the public education profession.
X. Demonstrates prompt, regular attendance and is available to work in-person
on-site during normal business hours.
a. Must be available to work from 3:30 P.M. through 7:00 P.M., Monday
through Thursday, during the 187-day District school year;
b. Summer School Program [Monday-Thursday: 9:00-3:30 P.M..
❖ Willingly performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
