Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. Job Summary
Office Manager provides administrative support, scheduling, EPIC documentation, including overall responsibility for medical & educational records, computer data input and general secretarial duties. Under the Direction of the Program Manager, provides functions including pre-admission & admission, registration, demographic and insurance verification. Performs the collection of co-pay portions due on account. Performs diagnostic coding. Provides a detailed review of unauthorized services. Handles interdepartmental data exchange.
- Create and maintain records at time of admission, close record at time of discharge, audit records according to Natchaug Hospital and regulatory guidelines, process internal and external record requests assuring confidentiality and appropriate releases of information.
- Take referral information and schedule intakes as assigned, gather appropriate signatures as necessary for admissions, input data into CMHC, arrange for transportation as necessary.
- Provide general clerical support by transcribing and typing various correspondences, answering and routing calls, taking messages, greeting and assisting visitors, distributing mail, maintaining office equipment and arranging for service when needed.
- Coordinates and schedules site/program activities and maintains a calendar of events, meetings and deadlines relevant to service location.
Qualifications
- Ability to use various computer programs including MS Office 365.
- Experience in Medical, Educational or Behavioral Health office.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- General secretarial skills with excellent organization.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
