Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring proper sanitation standards are met.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Prepare and sanitize dining areas before and after service, maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, processing payments in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards and procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with familiarity in café or restaurant settings being a plus.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members alike.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
