Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous restaurant experience, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings, is preferred. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments through POS or cashiering systems
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any special dietary requests
- Engage with guests to foster guest relations and ensure their needs are met promptly
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with industry standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a positive guest experience
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in food preparation, bussing, host/host duties, or kitchen support is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous hospitality or guest relations experience is advantageous
