Duties
- Coordinate food orders between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery of dishes.
- Verify accuracy of orders, ensuring each plate meets quality standards before serving.
- Communicate effectively with cooks, chefs, and waitstaff to resolve any order discrepancies or delays.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting the kitchen team in maintaining smooth operations.
- Organize and prioritize incoming orders during busy service periods to optimize workflow.
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are followed diligently to maintain hygiene standards.
- Support with bussing tables and clearing dishes to uphold cleanliness in dining areas.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience in food service environments, ideally within restaurants or hospitality settings. Familiarity with food expediting, food preparation, and restaurant operations is highly valued. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating efficiently with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems, culinary tasks such as cooking and food handling, as well as banquet or hotel service experience will be advantageous.
