Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Clear and bus tables promptly during service to maintain a clean dining environment
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely in accordance with kitchen health and safety standards
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment responsibly and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and overall kitchen sanitation standards
- Support food handling procedures ensuring compliance with food safety management protocols
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitizing procedures within a restaurant or catering environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards including sanitation requirements
- Experience with dishwashing equipment operation and manual handling techniques
