Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Automation Team (Virtual Assistant Focus)
Role Overview
We are searching for a results-driven Business Systems Analyst to champion automation use cases, supporting our virtual assistant and automation teams. The intent of this role is to drive process simplification, re-engineering, and quality assurance not development while serving as the critical liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team.
Key Responsibilities
Process Mapping & Re-Engineering:
Analyze, document, and redesign business workflows to streamline steps and activities, ultimately maximizing automation potential and business value.
Requirements Gathering:
Lead requirement-capturing sessions to translate business needs and opportunities for process simplification into clear, actionable outputs for the development team.
Quality Assurance Alignment:
Support QA efforts, ensuring that automated processes and flows meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
Automation Expertise:
Apply a broad background in automation (PEGA and other RPA/BPM tools) to evaluate, recommend, and shape process improvements.
Collaborative Liaison:
Act as the go-between for business and technology teams, ensuring process re-engineering initiatives are understood, well-documented, and executable.
Adaptable Contribution:
Operate effectively in a space with evolving requirements and limited details, providing leadership and guidance as use cases emerge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Several years experience as a BSA specializing in automation, process mapping, or re-engineering.
Demonstrated experience breaking down, simplifying, and automating business processes, independent of specific toolsets (e.g., PEGA, UiPath, Blue Prism, etc.).
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; able to distill complex business workflows into clear steps and requirements.
Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable in rapidly changing environments.
Experience in collaborating with both business stakeholders and technology/development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in supporting virtual agents or virtual assistants (nice to have).
Exposure to automation and BPM platforms, such as PEGA.
Involvement with process improvement initiatives tied to measurable business outcomes.
