Licensed Practical Nurse FT.
This position is a non-competitive Civil Service position.
General Statement Of Duties
Under general supervision of a registered nurse, performs nursing services in the examination of school children; performs related duties as required.
Complexity Of Duties
This is responsible work performed within the legal limits of the nursing profession.
Typical Duties
Training and Experience:
Successful completion of an acceptable program of practical nursing.
Necessary Special Requirement
Possession of a current license, or the eligibility to be licensed, as a practical nurse by the State of New York.

- Assists in the performance of hearing and eye tests and daily check-up of students. 2. Assists in rendering first aid to ill or injured students. 3. Checks height and weight of students. 4. May maintain student health records.
- Knowledge of basic practical nursing theory and techniques. 2. Knowledge of common physical and mental illnesses and their obvious symptoms. 3. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. 4. Ability to maintain records and charts.
Training and Experience:
