Job Description
Nashville Skin is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team as a Dermatology Call Nurse. This is a remote position responsible for managing high-volume patient communication, triaging clinical concerns, and supporting providers through efficient, accurate, and timely follow-up.
This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and is highly organized with exceptional communication skills. Prior dermatology experience is required.

Position Details
- Schedule: Flexible (Full-time or Part-time)
- Shift Options: Day shift (Monday–Friday)
- Location: Remote
- Hours: Scheduled shifts within clinic call hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
- Location: Remote
- Time Zone Requirement: Candidates must be able to reliably work Central Standard Time (CST) hours
Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to high-volume patient communication via phone and messaging platforms
- Triage patient concerns, assess urgency, and route appropriately to providers when needed
- Provide clinical guidance within RN scope, including medication instructions, post-procedure care, and treatment education
- Communicate biopsy, lab, and pathology results to patients per provider direction
- Coordinate prescriptions, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communication
- Accurately document all patient interactions in EMA (ModMed)
- Collaborate with providers and in-office clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain efficiency in inbox management, task completion, and follow-through
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and internal compliance standards
- Support additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Dermatology experience required **
- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
- Experience with EMA (ModMed) required
- Experience with Klara preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a remote setting
- Experience in high-volume outpatient or private practice dermatology
- Familiarity with dermatologic medications, biologics, and treatment protocols
- Prior experience in a call center or remote triage role is preferred
