Role Description

This is a full-time position based in Hermitage, TN, for an Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon. The primary responsibilities include performing orthopaedic surgeries, with a specific focus on trauma cases, providing comprehensive patient care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans. Additionally, the role involves consulting with patients, assessing injuries, and conducting necessary treatment procedures. The surgeon will stay up to date on advances in orthopaedic and trauma care to provide state-of-the-art treatments.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and surgically treat acute orthopedic trauma cases
  • Collaborate with the in-house physical therapy team for optimized outcomes
  • Manage complex fractures and post-operative care
  • Participate in trauma call (details to be defined)
  • Maintain excellence in surgical quality metrics
  • Contribute to program development and regional outreach initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and patient communication
  • Participate in the clinic


Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Orthopedic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, and General Surgery
  • Knowledge and experience in Critical Care Medicine and Medicine as it pertains to surgical and trauma cases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to consult with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Completion of a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery is preferred
  • State medical licensure in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Strong interest in practice growth and innovation
