Paraeducator – Reading & Math Interventions
Nashua-Plainfield CSD | Nashua, IA
Nashua-Plainfield CSD is seeking a student-centered paraeducator to support elementary reading and math interventions. This position provides targeted small-group instruction and supports student growth through structured, evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver small-group and one-on-one reading and math interventions
- Support foundational literacy (phonics, fluency, comprehension) and math skills (number sense, computation)
- Implement intervention programs with fidelity (e.g., UFLI or similar)
- Monitor and record student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff
- Prepare materials and support classroom instruction as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate degree or para certification preferred
- Experience working with elementary students preferred
- Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills
- Positive, flexible approach with students
