Position: Long Term Substitute Instructional Assistant -Kindergarten Aide
Location: Florence Sawyer School
Pay: In accordance with the Unit C Bargained Scale
Hours: 6.5 Hours Daily, Monday - Friday

Organizational Scope:
A member of the Department of Special Education, this position reports directly to the building Principal and to the Director of Student Services while working under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Position Responsibilities:
Under the Direction of the Classroom Teacher:
- Supports Instructional programming
- Implements assistive technology
- Facilitates interactions between students
- Assists with implementing behavior intervention
- Assists with mobility and transitioning and personal care as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:
BS or BA preferred, professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be highly qualified to serve as Paraprofessional according to DESE standards.
Must be willing and able to physically manage students if needed.
Classroom experience and flexiblity with assignments as needed to support students.
