About Us
Nashoba Learning Group (NLG) is a mission-driven organization supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our School provides day school services (8:30am-3:30pm) in a highly supportive, collaborative environment. We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. What You’ll Do As Our Registered Nurse (RN):
As our Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety, dignity, and health of our students. You’ll provide direct nursing care, collaborate with our nursing coordinator, work closely with families and educators, and support student wellness through preventive and responsive care.
Registered Nurse (RN) Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and track compliance
- Maintain medical documentation and immunization records
- Monitor students during medical incidents, restraints, and emergencies
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and staff to ensure coordinated care
- Lead infection control measures and track data
- Provide training to staff in CPR, First Aid, and medication protocols
- Attend nursing and behavior support meetings
- Help implement emergency response plans
Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license (ASN or BSN required)
- At least 3 years of experience with children and adults with complex emotional or psychological needs
- School nursing experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified (Instructor certification required post-hire)
- Clean CORI and OIG background checks
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
- DESE or NCSN certification
- Experience with students with autism or in special education
- Familiarity with DESE, DPH, and ADA compliance
