Nashoba Learning Group (NLG) is a non-profit educational organization serving individuals with autism through our Day School and Adult Programs. Our clinical approach prioritizes relationship-building and learner assent — we believe learning is most powerful when it’s built on safety, engagement, and connection. Our teams including BCBAs, school BCBAs, behavior technicians, and other specialist, collaborate across disciplines to deliver highly individualized, meaningful programming that supports each learner’s academic, life, and communication goals while promoting independence and personal agency.

 

Experienced BCBA Role Summary

As an Experienced BCBA, you will play a pivotal leadership role in designing, implementing, and overseeing individualized academic, life skills, and behavioral programs for 8 to 12 students receiving one-to-one support from trained behavior technicians. As a Experienced BCBA in a school BCBA role, you will work closely with interdisciplinary team members, families, and school districts to ensure all supports are aligned with the learner’s goals and values. You will also model compassionate and assent-based practices, ensuring that the learner is honored in every aspect of programming. The Experienced BCBA position rotates between NLG’s Bedford and Billerica sites, depending on caseload needs. Experienced BCBAs are expected to work a minimum of 7 hours daily on-site, with one work-from-home day per week.

 

What Experienced BCBA's Do:

Compassionate, Assent-Based Clinical Leadership

  • Develop individualized academic, life skills, and behavioral curricula rooted in ABA principles and tailed to the needs of each student.
  • Foster learner engagement and voluntary participation across all learning opportunities.
  • Proactively seek and honor learner input and preferences in programming decisions.
  • Use data and clinical judgment to refine instruction while prioritizing learner dignity.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Serve as a key liaison to families, school districts, and interdisciplinary consultants.
  • Lead monthly clinic meetings with caregivers and Lead Behavior Technicians to review student progress and align on goals.
  • Support families in understanding the learner’s strengths, needs, and educational path with compassion and transparency.

Supervision and Staff Development

  • Oversee 1:1 instructional teams by observing sessions, providing timely feedback, and supporting training needs.
  • Guide implementation of curriculum and behavior plans with an emphasis on consistency, fidelity, and empathy.
  • Coach staff in delivering safe and effective supports in line with best practices in ABA and assent-based intervention.

Behavioral Supports and Assessment

  • Conduct behavior assessments and develop behavior support plans that use the least restrictive, most positive interventions.
  • Integrate proactive strategies that reduce reliance on reactive procedures.
  • Monitor behavior data for trends and respond quickly with thoughtful clinical adjustments.
Qualifications:

Experienced BCBA Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years independently practicing as a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) developing academic and behavioral programs
  • Master’s degree or higher in a related field
  • Active BCBA certification required
  • Demonstrated experience with compassionate, assent-based clinical approaches
  • Strong collaboration, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Satisfactory background and CORI check
  • Physical capability to implement safety procedures including student support and occasional lifting

The salary range listed above has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
