About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of building the core API services and systems for the market platform. You will work on backend services, vendor integrations, and special projects to accelerate NPM’s partnerships through technology. You will gain a unique look into how the private markets ecosystem is evolving and strengthen your fin-tech domain knowledge.
A typical day will include
- You write code in Ruby on Rails
- You are part of sprint based agile team using Ruby on Rails
- You are in constant communication with the Product team to ensure quality of design and delivery.
- You lead design sessions and coach more junior engineers.
- You help enforce code quality and best practices via peer code reviews.
You will need to demonstrate skills/experience in
- Ruby: 0-5 years
- Rails: 0-3 years
- HTML/JS/CSS
- SQL: 0-3 years
- UML proficient
- CS Degree
And it would be great if you also have experience in
- Experience with Java, C/C , GoLang on the server side
- Experience with JavaScript, React, Node.js and other web frameworks
- Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS
- Experience with Docker and in developing and deploying services in a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience in FinTech, payments and workflow automations
- Experience with Gitlab
