Position Overview
The Custodial Services Technician will be responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning, sanitation, waste management, and facility maintenance support services across a federally managed recreation area. This includes restrooms, showers, office facilities, picnic shelters, fish cleaning stations, and surrounding public-use areas.
The role requires consistent daily service delivery, strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and accurate completion of Quality Control Reports (QCRs) in compliance with contract requirements.
Roles And Responsibilities:
1. Waste ManagementDisposal
Handle collection, cleaning, and disposal of all waste across the site. Maintain garbage containers, safely manage ash/coals, and report any hazardous waste.
2. CleaningSanitation (RestroomsFacilities)
Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of restrooms, showers, and all facility areas. Replenish supplies, remove stains and odors, and ensure floors, surfaces, and drains are clean and functional.
3. GeneralSpecialized Facility Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of buildings, offices, fish cleaning areas, and picnic shelters. Includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, deep cleaning, and sanitation of specialized areas like fish processing stations and grills.
4. Inspection, ReportingQuality Control
Conduct routine inspections, identify maintenance or safety issues, and document all activities through daily Quality Control Reports (QCRs).
5. Safety, ComplianceWork Scheduling
Follow safety standards (OSHA/EM guidelines), properly use PPE and cleaning chemicals, and complete all duties according to the approved schedule, including daily and periodic tasks.
