Serves as an Aerospace Engineer involved with managing space and aeronautical flight systems, vehicles, and/or payloads, including design, development, testing, and operations. As part of NASA Force, you will tackle mission-critical challenges, working across disciplines to advance NASA's exploration, research, and technology priorities, contributing to high-impact projects that support human spaceflight and scientific discovery. Work will vary by Center's role and mission responsibilities.
NASA utilizes OPM-approved qualification and rating requirements specific for Aerospace Technology (AST) positions which recognizes NASA's unique aerospace work. - Developing requirements and integrating aerospace or flight/ground systems (e.g., payloads, hardware/software, scientific instruments, communication equipment, cargo, or any other specialized equipment).
