Responsibilities:
- Production: Monitoring production output, scheduling production, and adjusting schedules as needed
- Quality: Ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality expectations
- Staff: Supervising employees, assigning duties, recruiting staff, and training new employees on safety protocol
- Materials: Ordering materials and consumables, and managing inventory
- Efficiency: Increasing the efficiency of operations and minimizing waste
- Safety: Ensuring a safe workplace and producing step-by-step instructions and guidelines for safety procedures
- Organization: Keeping a clean and organized shop
Qualifications:
- Must know how to read a tape measure with accuracy
- Technical skills: Good math and trigonometry skills, knowledge of manufacturing routing forms, and hands-on mechanical ability
- Experience: Experience working with metal fabrication, welding, and fabrication techniques (Bending, cutting, crimping, etc)
- Software skills: Familiarity with inventory tracking software and other systems that can improve operations
- Leadership skills: The ability to earn trust and motivate a team to complete projects
- Communication skills: The ability to work effectively on a team
- Time management skills: The ability to set and oversee production schedules
- Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and address problems that arise
- Safety skills: The ability to ensure safety procedures are followed and employees are properly trained to operate equipment
- Electrical: Must have an understanding of basic LED lights and Power Supplies
- Paint: Ability to sand, paint and apply different finishes
MUST PROVIDE OWN TOOLS

Must be able to build from a drawing
We are looking for a motivated team leader who is organized, punctual and looking to grow with a fast-paced environment.
Transportation and NYS LICENSE REQUIRED
Some projects require on-site surveys and installation
Fork truck skill/certification is a plus
Ability and/or willingness to safely operate a bucket truck is also a plus
On-site training is available
