This position is located at the AC Read Golf Course in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Food & Beverage Service Division, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. Incumbent operates the drink and snack cart on the Golf Course.

Specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Must have basic knowledge of sales procedures and cash handling practices.
  • Must have knowledge of inventory accountability.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in communication skills and customer relations.
  • Must have ability to work independently.
  • Must present a neat, clean and presentable appearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Responsibilities:

  • Operates drink cart on the course to sell drinks and food snack items to golfers. Items normally consist of cold beer and soft drinks, chips, crackers, candy and related foodstuffs.
  • Ensures that standard prices are applied and that a clearly visible price list is available to customers. Stocks cart daily, assures that adequate stock levels are on hand to meet anticipated daily demands, collects money, and makes change. He/she maintains a change fund, counts daily receipts, maintains merchandise stock records and prepares daily reports.
  • Observes and complies with sanitation and security regulations and procedures and performs routine cleaning and necessary for the sanitary operation of the unit.
  • Performs various other related duties as assigned.
