What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Veterinary Technician position at Narcoossee Oaks Animal Hospital?
At Narcoossee Oaks Animal Hospital, our technicians are an important part of what keeps the hospital running. From appointments and treatments to surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and everything in between, our technicians are hands-on throughout the day and work closely with our doctors to provide thoughtful, high-quality care.
We’re a busy small animal practice with a team of more than 30 people, and no two days look exactly the same. We’re looking for an experienced technician who enjoys that pace, is confident working with patients, and takes pride in being someone their teammates can count on.
The right person for this role is comfortable staying one step ahead, communicating with the doctors and their teammates, and jumping in wherever they’re needed. We value technicians who care about the details, take ownership of their work, and understand that how we work together is just as important as the medicine we provide.
At the end of the day, we want our technicians to feel like they are truly part of the medical team—not simply moving from task to task. We want you to use your skills, continue learning, build relationships with our clients and patients, and have teammates who have your back when the day gets busy.
What Matters to Us
Our hospital is built around four core values:
- Safety – Keeping our patients, clients, and team members safe is always a priority.
- Positive Client Experiences – We want every client to feel heard, informed, and cared for throughout their pet's visit.
- Positive Team Interactions – We believe in treating each other with respect, communicating openly, and stepping in to help when a teammate needs it.
- Quality Medicine – We take pride in practicing good medicine, paying attention to the details, and continuing to learn and improve.
