Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to welcome guests and ensure they have an exceptional dining or hospitality experience. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with excellent communication skills. This role is vital in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong guest relations skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests
- Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and provide information about the restaurant or hotel services
- Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth guest flow
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously and promptly
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects the establishment’s hospitality standards
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role within food service or hospitality industries is highly desirable
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
- Experience in hotel guest services, serving, or other guest relations roles is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including clear speaking voice and active listening abilities
- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
