Role Overview
This is a working leadership role. You will be the direct link between our office and our field crews — managing day-to-day production, keeping jobs on schedule, holding crews accountable, and ensuring our equipment is maintained and ready. You will move between job sites daily, not manage from one location.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple crews and job sites
- Monitor job progress, quality of work, and crew efficiency in real time
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance on every job site; lead regular toolbox talks
- Ensure all tree care work is performed in accordance with ISA Best Management Practices and ANSI A300 standards
- Oversee proper pruning techniques and removal practices across all crews, maintaining consistent quality and industry compliance
- Coordinate daily and weekly job scheduling with the office to maximize crew utilization
- Conduct site inspections and final job walk-throughs to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage maintenance schedules for saws, equipment, and fleet vehicles; minimize downtime
- Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable to company standards
- Communicate job updates, issues, and crew performance directly to ownership
- Track attendance, hours, and job progress accurately
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of hands-on experience in arboriculture
- Proven supervisory experience managing field crews — you've led people, not just worked alongside them
- Strong knowledge of ISA Best Management Practices, ANSI A300 standards, and OSHA regulations
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, chippers, aerial lifts, and related equipment
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL a significant plus)
- Comfortable being mobile — this role requires daily movement between job sites
- Strong communicator who can translate field reality to office leadership clearly and quickly
- ISA Certified Arborist designation preferred; candidates without current certification must be willing to obtain it
