As the Service Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our Service Department. You’ll be responsible for coaching and leading a team of Service professionals, setting and achieving monthly and annual sales goals, and ensuring every customer who walks through our doors feels part of the Harley-Davidson family. The Service Manager is responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the Service Department. This leadership role requires an individual who can drive growth, deliver outstanding customer service, and foster a culture of teamwork and high performance.
Compensation & Benefits
The Service Manager position is a full-time position with on-target earnings of $45,000-$120,000 per year. Commission and incentive opportunities are available, and compensation is paid biweekly. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Service Department, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and profitable workflow.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Service Technicians, Service Writers, and support staff.
- Ensure all service work meets Harley-Davidson quality standards and is completed efficiently.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers regarding repair status, estimates, and expectations.
- Implement service processes and policies to maximize shop capacity, technician efficiency, and department profitability.
- Manage scheduling, repair orders, warranty work, and quality control checks.
- Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring every service experience exceeds expectations.
- Collaborate with the Parts Department and Sales Department to ensure seamless coordination on service needs and accessory installations.
- Monitor and manage Service Department expenses, productivity, and revenue targets.
- Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance of the service area.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of Service Management or senior service leadership experience (motorcycle, automotive, or powersports preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles (Harley-Davidson factory training is a plus).
- Proven track record of growing service revenue and driving customer satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional service experience.
- Experience with dealership management systems (Talones) preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and dealership events as necessary.
- Valid motorcycle endorsement and Harley-Davidson riding experience preferred.
