Recreation Lead

Naples KOA Holiday in Naples ME is a fun, family friendly campground. Our priority is providing families with camping memories that last a lifetime and keep them coming back year after year. There are a number of different ways to stay with us. We have Seasonal and short term RV sites, Deluxe cabins and even tent sites. We offer a variety of amenities including a beautiful pool, snack bar, fully stocked store, playgrounds, themed weekend activities and much more.

At Naples KOA Holiday we are looking for a Seasonal Recreation Lead to join our team. The position would begin as soon as the right candidate is found and would go until about October 20th. This position would be responsible for planning and executing all Recreation activities at Naples KOA Holiday and also at Nature’s Wilderness RV Lodge in Baldwin. The ideal candidate would have exceptional customer service, a fun and outgoing attitude, the ability to multitask and be able to lead a large group of people. The Recreation Lead is responsible for promoting an engaging, interactive, fun and memorable experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan weekly fun and creative activity schedules that coincide with the weekly theme.

​Prepare and lead guest activities and arts & crafts and events.

Perform all branded experiences consistently according to KOA guidelines.

Provide and maintain a fun, engaging and memorable experience.

Consistently interact with guests in an upbeat, fun, and energetic manner at all times. When not on break, act as though you are interacting with guests at all times.

Maintain a safe, clean and professional environment during the organization, coordination, and execution of activities.

Be able to learn new skills including, but not limited to, face painting, balloon making, or other event-related entertainment.

Provide entertainment, amusement, and interactive activities for guests by taking every opportunity to interact with patrons throughout the park and exceed guest service expectations.

Assist the General Manager with weekly schedules for Recreation Staff.

Provide any necessary training to Recreation Staff.

Delegate and oversee Recreation Staff

Follow all company, and safety/security policies and procedures.

Other Essential Duties

Decorate the park to the theme of the week/weekend.

Keep recreation facilities neat, clean, and in working order (including restroom area)

Maintain inventory of event & activity materials.

Consistently take photos of activities and events.

Assist the General Manager with Marketing Recreation Schedules and events on our social media platforms and website.

Participate in other projects and activities as assigned.

This position requires you to travel to another campground so you must have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Prior experience working with recreational activities preferred.

Customer service or hospitality experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Basic computer skills

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Strong work ethic and a positive attitude

Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work with minimal supervision

Must have an outgoing, high-energy personality.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position.

Regularly move throughout the park

Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl

Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
