With approximately 575 students taking lessons every week from 19 highly qualified teachers, our school provides instruction on a wide variety of instruments including piano, guitar, voice, and more. We welcome beginners as well as advanced students, offering lessons throughout the year to ensure students can start learning at any time. Our personalized one-on-one instruction helps students progress at their own pace and develop a strong understanding of musical techniques.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Voice and Piano Instructor at Napa School of Music located in Napa, CA. The instructor will be responsible for teaching private voice and piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels. Day-to-day tasks include creating lesson plans, conducting individual lessons, tracking student progress, and preparing students for recitals and performances. The role requires flexibility to accommodate students' schedules and the ability to teach diverse musical styles.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in teaching voice and piano, with a strong understanding of musical techniques and theory
- Experience in creating individualized lesson plans and tracking student progress
- Ability to teach various musical styles including classical, jazz, pop, and rock
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback
- Passion for teaching and nurturing students’ musical development
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred
