Job Title: Parts Professional

Job Classification: All employees are classified as nonexempt. Some positions are subject to a change in exemption status. A change in status will not occur without a meeting between management and affected employee(s) to discuss salary and responsibilities.

Job Summary: The Parts Professional will interact with the company’s customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. This position is stationed at the front counter and requires a 45-hour work week including some evenings/Saturdays. The Parts Professional is expected to attend paid mandatory company meetings and events.

Essential Job Duties:

• Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
• Using inventory, catalogue, and POS systems
• Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
• Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.
• Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift and completing end of day processing.
• Change batteries, read check engine lights, install wiper blades, and light bulbs.
• Hang window displays
• Price items for sale.
• Restock sales area.
• Occasionally delivering parts to customers.
• Inventory stocking
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Skills:

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
