Job Summary
The Manager, Expense Governance & Controls is responsible for ensuring that enterprise cost savings are fully captured, sustained, and protected from leakage. This role strengthens financial discipline through structured governance, spend controls, and integration of savings into budgets, forecasts, and operational processes.
This leader will serve as a key steward of cost integrity, partnering closely with Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and business leaders to embed lasting controls across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the official enterprise savings tracker
- Reconcile initiatives to the P&L to confirm financial realization
- Identify slippage, reversals, or leakage risks
- Conduct deep-dive expense analysis to uncover variance drivers
- Implement and monitor spend approval thresholds
- Enforce vendor, contract, and purchasing controls
- Standardize procurement and purchasing channels to ensure compliance
- Embed validated savings into annual budgets
- Adjust forecasts to reflect run-rate reductions
- Review and challenge incremental spend requests against cost discipline standards
- Facilitate recurring cost governance review forums
- Prepare executive performance materials and savings reports
- Track commitments, decisions, and follow-through actions
- Embed cost controls into financial systems and operational platform
- Standardize cost management workflows
- Develop and maintain cost governance playbooks and documentation
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, PMO, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, or related disciplines
- Strong governance, controls, and process orientation
- High attention to detail with strong analytical rigor
- Ability to enforce standards while partnering effectively across functions
- Comfortable operating in structured, accountability-driven environments
- Comfortable working in an office setting
