The characters in MEN ON BOATS have historically been cisgender white males. We encourage auditions from people who are not. SEEKING:
RITA BOYLE (20s–early 30s) – A brilliant, funny, guarded young woman whose skepticism about love is challenged by an unexpected emotional connection.
PETER HOSKINS (20s–early 30s) – An earnest, open-hearted romantic whose deep belief in love is tested in ways he never imagined.
THE OLD MAN (60s–80s) – A mysterious, fragile, cranky stranger whose brief presence alters the course of the story.
DR. BOYLE (50s–60s) – Rita’s pragmatic, loving father who values tradition but ultimately leads with heart.
MRS. BOYLE (50s–60s) – Rita’s perceptive, quietly romantic mother who believes in love’s enduring power.
TAYLOR (20s–40s) – Peter’s easygoing, good-humored friend who brings levity and grounding perspective. Part will double.
