About NanosVet

NanosVet is redesigning how pets receive medicine. We are building the first vertically integrated platform for companion animal care that combines tele-veterinary access, pharmacy infrastructure, and novel drug delivery technology (NanoStrip™).

Our mission is simple: eliminate the stress, non-compliance, and failure points of pet medication by replacing pills, powders, and injections with fast-acting, dissolvable oral strips.

The Role

This is not a traditional PIC role.

As the Founding Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will build and own the pharmacy from the ground up—from licensure and facility design to SOPs, compounding workflows, and national scale. You will be the regulatory backbone, operational architect, and clinical authority behind NanosVet’s pharmacy and dispensing platform.This role sits at the intersection of:

• Regulation & compliance
• Operational buildout
• Product innovation (novel dosage forms)
• Direct-to-consumer healthcare

What You’ll Do

1. Build the Pharmacy (0→1)

• Lead setup of NanosVet’s compounding pharmacy
• Design workflows for veterinary compounding
• Establish facility layout, equipment selection, and process flow
• Own licensure strategy

2. Regulatory Ownership

• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge of record
• Ensure full compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy, Federal regulations (FDA, DEA as applicable), USP standards
• Lead inspections, audits, and board interactions
• Build a scalable compliance infrastructure from day one

3. SOPs, Quality & Safety

• Develop and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Implement quality systems for, Compounding accuracy, Ingredient sourcing & verification, Labeling and dispensing
• Partner with R&D to translate formulations into repeatable, compliant production processes

4. Product & Formulation Collaboration

• Launch novel dosage forms (nanostrips)
• Adapt existing APIs into transmucosal delivery formats
• Ensure all formulations are clinically sound, stable, and compliant for compounding use.

5. Build National Pharmacy Infrastructure

• Drive multi-state licensure expansion
• Direct-to-patient shipping
• Prescription intake (tele-vet, partner vets, transfers)
• Build toward central-fill, high-throughput pharmacy operations

6. Team Building & Leadership

• Hire and lead: Pharmacists, Pharmacy technicians, Quality/compliance staff
• Establish a culture of Precision and accountability, Speed without compromising safety, Mission-driven care

7. Operational Scale & Strategy

• Inventory management
• Workflow automation
• Turnaround time optimization
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth to:
• Launch new therapies
• Improve fulfillment speed and reliability
• Enable subscription-based care models

What You Bring

Core Requirements:

• PharmD required
• Active pharmacist license
• 7–10 years pharmacy experience
• Prior experience as PIC or pharmacy leader
• Deep knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compounding standards

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience building or scaling a compounding pharmacy
• Multi-state licensure experience
• Mail-order, central fill, or DTC pharmacy experience
• Experience working with novel formulations or non-traditional dosage forms
• Familiarity with telehealth or digital health models
