Position Overview:
We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team at a leading lighting manufacturing company. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating CAD drawings, developing comprehensive bills of materials, and assisting with various design and drafting tasks. The ideal candidate should have a background in architecture or engineering, possess strong AutoCAD skills, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Additionally, experience in lighting design is a plus. If you have a mind built for creating and a detail-oriented personality, we look forward to hearing from you.
Responsibilities:
- Produce CAD drawings for both existing and new lighting fixtures and products, including the creation of riser diagrams and 3D drawings as necessary.
- Ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and perform other related duties as needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and contribute to the preparation of layout drawings and detailing.
- Effectively use CAD software to create various technical drawings.
- Create part numbers, and enter the Bill of Materials into the ERP System.
- Convert existing drawings to SolidWorks design.
- Support special projects as required. - Collaborate effectively with project management software.
- Ensure that drawings meet drafting standards.
- The ability to work without direct supervision.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Associate degree in estimating/drafting or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Professional training or a trade school background in architecture or engineering.
- 2 Experience in drafting lighting fixtures/products, architectural buildings, mechanical drafting, or metal buildings.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, trigonometry, and geometry.
- The ability to work both independently and in a group environment. This
