Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and emotional development
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any signs of abuse or neglect to appropriate authorities
- Ensure all childcare practices adhere to health and safety standards, including first aid and CPR protocols when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Demonstrated experience in early childhood education or classroom settings such as daycare or preschool environments
- Proven ability to develop engaging activity plans tailored to different developmental stages
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is preferred
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience showcasing responsibility in child supervision and caregiving roles
