The Family:
This organized and thoughtful Kirkland family is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Household Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day functioning of their home. They are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining an efficient, well-run household and who enjoys contributing in a meaningful, behind-the-scenes capacity.
The home environment is calm, structured, and respectful. The parents value professionalism, clear communication, and a proactive approach. They are seeking someone who can operate independently, anticipate needs, and take ownership of their responsibilities without requiring frequent direction.
The household includes two young children; however, this is not a childcare role. While the children are present in the home, the primary focus of this position is household support and meal preparation.
The family enjoys a wide range of cuisines and places a strong emphasis on kitchen organization, consistency, and food safety. They are especially interested in finding someone who is confident in the kitchen and can support meal preparation in a clean, organized, and reliable way.
The household also includes a dog. Occasional assistance (such as letting the dog out or short walks) may be helpful, but this is not a core responsibility.
They would love to find someone who becomes a consistent and trusted presence in their home over time.
The Job Description:
This is a household-focused role centered on cooking, organization, and general household support. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and takes initiative in maintaining a clean, well-functioning home environment.
Meal preparation will be a consistent and important part of this role. The family is seeking someone who genuinely enjoys cooking for others and who is comfortable preparing a variety of dishes by following recipes and planning meals for the household. This is not a chef role. The focus is on consistent, recipe-based cooking, strong kitchen fundamentals, food safety, proper use of kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean and well-organized cooking environment. Attention to detail in these areas is essential.
While this is not a childcare role, the family would greatly value light, occasional support in helping plan simple, engaging activities for their children. For example, preparing ideas or materials for art projects, crafts, or play-based activities that the parents can easily facilitate during limited evening time together. This support is intended to make family time more enjoyable and seamless, rather than requiring direct caregiving.
The right candidate will be self-directed, organized, and comfortable working independently. This role is best suited for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes action without needing detailed instruction.
