Job Description: A Family of returning clients seeks an experienced and discreet Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations for multiple family properties, with regular travel required. This role is based in Austin, TX, and involves managing a small team of housekeepers and ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of housekeepers with varying experience and family tenure; conduct regular one-on-one check-ins, provide performance feedback, and deliver targeted skill-building to ensure consistent high standards and address any technique or protocol gaps.
- Create and maintain advanced household systems beyond basic SOPs: detailed task calendars (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly) and property-specific checklists.
- Develop and manage the annual housekeeping budget covering supplies, linens, cleaning equipment, minor replacements, and specialized services (e.g., deep-clean vendors, eco-friendly products); forecast requirements based on seasonal and property-usage patterns and provide regular reports to the family office.
- Maintain detailed, cross-property inventories of housekeeping-related assets; perform regular audits and manage reordering/storage to avoid shortages.
- Travel regularly between domestic properties to conduct thorough inspections alongside other senior members of the team, verify exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards, and provide direct guidance/support to the housekeeping team.
- Actively participate in cleaning tasks as needed to maintain high standards and support the team.
- Collaborate closely with other staff while upholding strict confidentiality in all interactions.
Requirements:
- US passport or Green Card
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Head Housekeeper, House Manager, or equivalent role in UHNW homes
- Active willingness and comfort performing housekeeping tasks alongside the team; this is a working leadership role, not purely supervisory—expect to lead by example in a small, close-knit team
- Proven ability to create, implement, and maintain SOPs, advanced household systems, and manage a housekeeping budget effectively
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a calm, adaptable personality
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- NDA to be signed accordingly, and the role within the family home should be treated with absolute discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Long-term commitment required
- Comfortable with intense travel schedules
- Comfortable around medium/small size dogs
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8/10 hours per day / Requires on-call availability for some evenings and weekends, and willingness to travel
Salary Offered: $165-185 k per year, commensurate with experience | Benefits: Full healthcare (medical, vision & dental); 401k; 2 weeks paid vacation; sick time; etc.
