Returning Superior Nannies family is looking for an experienced night nanny to care for their newborn baby girl. This is the family’s 3rd child and the parents need to get a good night’s rest to care for their other 2 children as well.
They need a nanny who can start sometime in early September, likely Sept 3rd/4th for when the baby comes home (current due date is 8/31). They are looking for a 6 week commitment to start and would look to frontload the nights, scaling down over that time period (i.e., 4 nights a week from 10pm-6am for the 1st 2 weeks, then 3 nights a week for 2 more weeks, then 2 nights a week for the next week, then one with 1 night/week). Candidate must also have some flexibility with the schedule as they don’t know how this baby will sleep at night; therefore, they may need more nights than expected, plan to check in around week 3.
The ideal candidate will have night nanny experience with newborns, be warm, nurturing, calm and competent with brand new babies. Must be comfortable bringing baby into mom to nurse at night (at least for first few nights), then possibly introduce a bottle feed for the middle of the night, and be able to burp, swaddle and care for baby while parents’ sleep throughout. Nanny must be infant CPR certified, have experience with newborns and night nannying, have strong newborn care references, have a clean background check, be trustworthy and honest, and be up to date on TDAP vaccine (within last 10 years).
Direct baby care is always top priority, but the nanny will also be expected to clean bottles, pumps and anything used by the baby, help folding baby’s clothes and keeping nursery tidy and organized when she is sleeping.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
