What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Video/Content Editing Intern: Immediate Start position at Nannette Brown?
Location: New York City, in office
Type: Part-time
Experience: Current student or recent graduate
Nannette Brown is a growing media, design, and modern living company operating at the intersection of content, commerce, and culture.
Built around the framework of Life Architecture, the company creates content, experiences, and products centered on home, wellness, food, personal growth, and style. Its flagship publication, The Living Edit, serves as the foundation of a broader multi-platform ecosystem spanning editorial, social media, interior design, brand partnerships, shopping, and future audio and video initiatives.
The company is currently in a period of growth and evolution, expanding from an established design practice and creator-led brand into a scalable media business.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage and help shape the visual presentation, video strategy, audience growth, and future direction of a company building a distinctive perspective on modern living.
Our mission is simple: to inspire people to intentionally design not only their homes, but their lives.
We are looking for an ambitious, curious, and highly organized intern with a sophisticated eye for visual storytelling and the technical ability to edit and package video content at a professional level.
You will work closely with a small, collaborative team across social, editorial, and creative projects. The primary focus of this role will be transforming raw footage, ideas, and creative assets into polished, high-quality video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, and other digital platforms.
This is an editorial video role rather than a traditional social media editing position. We are looking for someone who approaches each video as a fully packaged story, using cinematic pacing, typography as storytelling, animated diagrams and data visualization, AI-enhanced B-roll, layered motion graphics, premium sound design, sophisticated transitions, and other techniques that elevate the final piece.
This role is ideal for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into compelling, platform-ready content, including reels, interviews, talking-head videos, editorial clips, campaign content, and social-first storytelling.
The ideal candidate follows and understands the polished, highly produced editing styles used by creators and studios such as SEI Come SEI and RPN, while being able to adapt those techniques to Nannette Brown’s established visual identity and editorial voice.
The right candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, works efficiently, and knows how to identify and shape the strongest moments from a larger body of footage.

- Exporting and formatting video to professional platform-specific standards
- Helping maintain consistency across video style, visual identity, tone, and production quality
- Organizing footage, audio, project files, drafts, templates, and final exports
- Managing and organizing creative assets through Air
- Conducting research into editing techniques, visual references, music, trends, and content performance
- Supporting video shoots, content production, social media, and marketing initiatives
