Shopify Website Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Shopify Website Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of our e-commerce store. This role is responsible for managing product pages, updating website content, coordinating theme updates, and working closely with outside developers to implement technical or code-based changes. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable collaborating across teams—especially with marketing and development partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Management

• Maintain and update the Shopify website on an ongoing basis.
• Manage product listings, including descriptions, images, pricing, tags, and collections.
• Build and update landing pages, homepage sections, and seasonal content.
• Upload and schedule graphics, banners, and creative assets provided by the marketing team.
• Ensure all website content is accurate, on-brand, and visually consistent.

Development & Technical Coordination

• Partner with external developers on theme customizations and code updates.
• Submit clear development requests, manage timelines, and ensure successful implementation.
• Test new features, templates, and theme changes before publishing.
• Troubleshoot site issues, bugs, and broken functionalities.

Optimization & Performance

• Monitor site speed, mobile experience, and user experience.
• Ensure the website follows best practices for SEO, accessibility, and conversion.
• Recommend improvements for navigation, layout, and product presentation.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure promotions, graphics, and campaigns are reflected on-site.
• Coordinate with operations for inventory updates, product launches, and discontinued items.
• Support brand and product storytelling through strong visual merchandising.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities

• 2 years experience managing a Shopify or e-commerce website.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (not required to write code, but able to communicate with developers).
• Experience building pages and managing content in Shopify themes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with external partners.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Helpful)

• Experience with Shopify apps and integrations.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
